About the DEH-800WP

The DanVex DEH-800WP is a professional inverter pool dehumidifier designed for the smaller-capacity end of the wall/floor mounting range. At 80 L/day it covers pools up to 35 m² and rooms of 80–130 m² — private residential pools, villa and hotel pools, wellness centres, gym pools, small spa facilities, artisan food production, museums, storage cellars and other compact commercial environments where humidity control runs continuously alongside corrosion resistance, air-quality control and low noise.

Most dehumidifiers on the market do one job: remove moisture. The DEH-800WP was designed around a different question — what does the air in a residential pool hall, hotel spa or museum actually need? The answer: humidity control, effective sterilisation, real-time air-quality monitoring, corrosion resistance against chlorine and chemical vapours, and energy efficiency — all integrated in one quiet unit.

The DEH-800WP shares the same premium specification as its larger sibling, the DEH-1200WP — the same compressor type, the same air purification, the same sensors, the same connectivity. The two differ only in capacity and the size of space covered.

Full Inverter system: compressor + EC fan + EEV valve

At the heart of the DEH-800WP is a refrigeration system built entirely on the inverter — three components working together rather than separately:

  • Inverter compressor — continuously varies its speed to the actual humidity readings. No on/off cycles, no humidity jumps, no peak current at every restart.
  • Inverter EC fan — regulates airflow independently of the compressor, optimising operation in every mode instead of running at a fixed speed.
  • Electronic expansion valve (EEV) — replaces the fixed capillary tube with precise electronic control of refrigerant flow across the whole load range.

The result: up to 40% less electricity than fixed-speed units on the same duty cycle. Below 36 dB(A) at one metre — quieter than ordinary conversation, comparable to the quiet of a library, which makes the DEH-800WP particularly suitable for residential and hospitality environments where compressor cycling would be intrusive. Stable humidity without fluctuation, and continuous round-the-clock operation thanks to additional refrigerant cooling of the compressor drive.

E-Coating: corrosion protection where it really matters

The electrochemical anti-corrosion coating on the evaporator and condenser is one of the DEH-800WP's most significant — and least visible — features. Standard aluminium exchangers in pool environments can begin to corrode within 1–3 years under chlorine vapour, and in heavily used commercial pools or at elevated concentrations — within months. The same applies to coastal salt spray, acids and cleaning agents, and solvent vapours.

E-Coating — the same technology as in the automotive industry — forms a sealed layer that resists: chlorine and chloramine vapour (pools); salt vapour and spray (coastal facilities, brining lines, fish processing); organic acids, oils and cleaning agents (food and beverage production); and industrial solvents (manufacturing, laboratories).

Standard — not optional

E-Coating is included as standard on every DEH-800WP unit. It is not an upgrade, not an option and not a retrofit. The control board is additionally protected by a special composite moisture-resistant coating.

UV lamp + anion generator: active air purification

A UV-C lamp in the airflow path destroys bacteria, mould spores and viruses as air passes through — without chemicals or replacement filters. Particularly effective in pool environments (airborne water bacteria neutralised at source), food production, medical and pharmaceutical, and museums and archives. The anion generator produces negative ions that bind allergens, fine dust and bacteria and settle them — in pools it reduces the chloramine irritants responsible for eye and skin discomfort, which standard ventilation alone cannot address.

5-in-1 air quality sensor

The DEH-800WP monitors five parameters at once — CO₂ (ventilation adequacy; the reading is available to coordinate ventilation at building level), PM2.5 (early warning of microbial activity or chemical off-gassing), TVOC (chemical vapours that threaten health and accelerate corrosion), relative humidity and temperature — all on the unit display, in the app and over Modbus RTU RS-485 to the building management system. Built-in monitoring eliminates the need for external sensors and reduces installation cost.

Hot Gas Defrost: fast defrost from +5 °C

When the hall cools down, ice forms on a conventional dehumidifier's evaporator, and conventional defrost methods take 20–30 minutes, during which dehumidification stops completely. The DEH-800WP passes warm refrigerant directly over the evaporator surface and the cycle completes quickly — continuous, effective operation from +5 °C: lightly heated pool halls, cold spaces and off-season operation.

Installation: wall or floor — one unit, two options

  • Wall mounting — the bracket is included in the standard delivery. All service components are reached from the front panel; maintenance without taking the unit off the wall. Particularly suitable for residential and hospitality environments where a clear floor matters.
  • Floor installation — six adjustable aluminium feet for levelling on uneven surfaces.

The powder-coated steel housing, lined with pyramid-shaped acoustic foam, keeps noise below 36 dB(A). Both options on the same unit — the choice is made on site, with no separate SKU or configuration.

Connectivity and BMS integration

  • Wi-Fi — remote control, monitoring and alerts via the mobile app from anywhere.
  • Modbus RTU RS-485 — full integration with building management systems (BMS / SCADA).
  • Both protocols active simultaneously — no trade-off in the settings.

Set targets, review logs, receive alerts and adjust parameters remotely. For residential installations Wi-Fi alone is usually sufficient — the unit is monitored and controlled from a phone without any additional infrastructure. Hotels, wellness centres and facilities with building management systems integrate the DEH-800WP directly, without additional gateways.
