About the DEH-WP Series

The DEH-WP Series is designed for environments where humidity control goes hand in hand with corrosion resistance, airborne-microbe control and continuous operation. What sets it apart from a household unit relabelled as commercial is a set of engineering decisions for harsh surroundings: chlorine vapour above pool water, salt aerosol at coastal sites, organic acids and cleaning agents in food production, air-quality documentation requirements in regulated environments.

Every DEH-WP unit runs on single-phase 220–230 V at 50–60 Hz, uses R-32 refrigerant and ships ready for wall or floor mounting — the same unit with two mounting options. Operating range +5 °C to +42 °C, IPX4 water protection, Class I electrical protection.

If your space is at the upper end of the DEH-800WP range, choose the DEH-1200WP. An undersized unit runs at full load continuously, shortening compressor life and never reaching the target humidity. For spaces larger than the larger model's range, the installation is split across two or more units — more even distribution of dry air and operational redundancy. Engineering standards across the series

What makes the DEH-WP a professional pool dehumidifier rather than a relabelled household unit is a set of design decisions shared by both models. Every item below is standard on every DEH-WP unit — not an option, a configuration or a retrofit.

Full Inverter system: compressor + EC fan + EEV valve

Three inverter-controlled components working as one system: a variable-speed compressor, a variable-speed EC fan and an electronic expansion valve (EEV) replacing the fixed capillary tube. E-Coating heat exchanger

UV sterilisation + anion generator

A UV-C lamp in the airflow path destroys bacteria, mould spores and viruses as air passes through the unit; the anion generator binds airborne allergens, fine dust and bacteria and settles them — in pool facilities it reduces the chloramine irritants responsible for eye and skin discomfort.

5-in-1 air quality sensor

Monitors CO₂ (ventilation adequacy), PM2.5 (fine particles — mould spores, bacterial fragments, chloramine aerosol), TVOC (chemical vapours), relative humidity and temperature — continuously, with readings on the unit display and remotely via the Wi-Fi app and the Modbus RTU RS-485 protocol.

Hot Gas Defrost — from +5 °C

Warm refrigerant passes directly over the evaporator surface and clears frost quickly, whereas conventional methods — passive (compressor stop with the fan running) or an electric heater — take 20–30 minutes, during which dehumidification stops completely. Operation is continuous down to +5 °C.

Wi-Fi + Modbus RTU RS-485

Both protocols are active simultaneously, on every model, with no trade-off in the settings. Wi-Fi for remote control and app notifications; Modbus RTU RS-485 for direct BMS / SCADA integration. Centralised supervision of several units from one screen in multi-pool or multi-zone installations.

Full Inverter system: compressor + EC fan + EEV valve

At the heart of the DEH-WP is a refrigeration system built entirely on the inverter — three components working together rather than separately:

  • Inverter compressor — continuously varies its speed to the actual humidity readings. No on/off cycles, no humidity jumps, no peak current at every restart.
  • Inverter EC fan — regulates airflow independently of the compressor, optimising operation in every mode instead of running at a fixed speed.
  • Electronic expansion valve (EEV) — replaces the fixed capillary tube with precise electronic control of refrigerant flow across the whole load range.

The result: up to 40% less electricity than fixed-speed units on the same duty cycle. Below 36 dB(A) at one metre — quieter than an ordinary office. Stable humidity without fluctuation. And continuous round-the-clock operation thanks to additional refrigerant cooling of the compressor drive.

E-Coating: corrosion protection where it really matters

The electrochemical anti-corrosion coating (E-Coating) on the evaporator and condenser is one of the DEH-WP's most significant — and least visible — features.

Standard aluminium heat exchangers in pool environments can begin to corrode within 1–3 years under chlorine vapour. In heavily used commercial pools, at elevated chlorine concentrations or in similarly harsh environments, corrosion can appear within months. The same applies to salt spray at coastal sites, acids and cleaning agents in food production, and solvent vapour in industrial environments.

UV lamp + anion generator: active air purification

UV sterilisation

A UV-C lamp in the airflow path destroys bacteria, mould spores and viruses as air passes through the unit — without chemicals, replaceable filters or additional equipment. Particularly effective in:

Negative-ion generator

5-in-1 air quality sensor: what it measures and why

Ordinary dehumidifiers regulate the climate parameters — humidity and temperature. The DEH-WP also monitors air quality alongside them: five parameters at once, all available on the unit display, in the mobile app and over Modbus RTU RS-485 to the building management system:

  • CO₂ — a rise indicates inadequate ventilation. In pools and gyms CO₂ rises rapidly with occupancy; the reading is available via the app and Modbus to coordinate ventilation at building level.
  • PM2.5 — particles smaller than 2.5 microns: mould spores, bacterial fragments, chloramine aerosol. Elevated PM2.5 in a pool hall is an early warning of microbial activity or chemical off-gassing, detectable before it becomes visible or hazardous.
  • TVOC — chemical vapours from cleaning products, pool chemicals, adhesives and coatings. High TVOC is a health hazard and accelerates heat-exchanger corrosion.
  • Relative humidity — the primary control parameter, measured precisely and continuously.
  • Temperature — ambient temperature monitoring for operational optimisation and documentation.

Built-in monitoring eliminates the need for external hygrostats, transducers and dedicated air-quality sensors for the building management system — reducing installation cost and integration complexity in multi-unit facilities.

Hot Gas Defrost: fast defrost from +5 °C

When the hall cools down, ice forms on a conventional dehumidifier's evaporator, and conventional defrost methods — passive (compressor stop with the fan running) or an electric heater — take 20–30 minutes, during which dehumidification stops completely.

The DEH-WP uses Hot Gas Defrost: warm refrigerant passes directly over the evaporator surface and the cycle completes quickly.
