About the DEH-K Series

The DanVex DEH-K Series is a range of stationary industrial dehumidifiers for permanent installation in spaces where humidity control is part of the building or process specification: manufacturing facilities, large warehouses and logistics centres, food and pharmaceutical production, plant-growing facilities and infrastructure environments where humidity threatens equipment.

The four models cover capacities from 240 to 1 000 litres per day and share the full premium specification: a Full Inverter compressor with a Smart-Inverter EC fan and EEV valve, an E-Coating heat exchanger, 5-in-1 sensor, UV sterilisation lamp, anion generator, Wi-Fi + Modbus RTU RS-485 connectivity and Hot Gas Defrost. The DEH-2K runs on single-phase 220–230 V — for sites without a three-phase supply; the DEH-3K, DEH-5K and DEH-10K run on three-phase 380–415 V.

Every DEH-K unit is built around a vertical top-discharge airflow: air is drawn through the front filter panel and discharged upward through the top of the cabinet. This format eliminates short-circuiting of the unit recirculating its own dry air, distributes air into the upper volume of the room where moisture accumulates by convection, and connects directly to overhead ductwork without additional plenums. All models use R-32 refrigerant with IPX4 protection.

Why does top-discharge airflow matter?

Most condensation dehumidifiers on the industrial market discharge air horizontally — from the front or side — because it is the simplest layout. In a high-ceilinged industrial space this creates two problems.

First, dehumidified air discharged at floor level immediately sinks back toward the unit inlet (it is colder and denser than room air after passing the evaporator) — the unit recirculates its own dry air without affecting the room as a whole: short-circuiting. Capacity figures fall and humidity stays high. Second, water vapour is lighter than dry air; it rises and accumulates near the ceiling by natural convection — often showing as condensation on overhead pipes, structural steel and exposed beams. A horizontal dehumidifier never reaches that air mass.

The DEH-K Series uses vertical top discharge: dry air is driven upward through the top of the cabinet, mixes with the upper volume where moisture concentrates, and the resulting circulation carries air down through the front inlet at floor level. The unit dries the whole room volume, not just the air around it. Top discharge also connects directly to overhead ductwork without plenums — the practical reason it is the standard format for commercial and industrial installations.

What is the difference between Full Inverter and fixed-speed industrial dehumidifiers?
A fixed-speed compressor runs at full power until the target humidity is reached and then stops — humidity jumps between cycles, peak consumption at every start and accelerated mechanical wear. A Full Inverter compressor continuously varies its speed to the actual moisture load: low power near the set-point and higher only when needed. The result: up to 40% lower consumption, no humidity drift, less noise and a far longer compressor life. For continuously operating facilities the inverter price difference usually pays for itself within the first seasons on electricity savings alone. Why does top-discharge airflow matter in industrial applications?

Can a stationary industrial dehumidifier be connected to ductwork?
Yes. Stationary dehumidifiers with sufficient static pressure are connected to ductwork to distribute dry air to several zones or specific delivery points. Static pressure determines the maximum duct length and number of connections the unit can handle: in the DEH-K Series the DEH-2K and DEH-3K provide 200 Pa, the DEH-5K 250 Pa and the DEH-10K 300 Pa for long runs or central-HVAC integration. Does a high-capacity industrial dehumidifier require three-phase supply?
Most high-capacity industrial dehumidifiers require three-phase 380–415 V. The reasons are practical: the peak power of the larger compressor (up to 21 kW on the DEH-10K) exceeds what a single-phase circuit can reasonably deliver; three-phase reduces motor torque pulsation and per-phase current; and most industrial buildings are already equipped with it. The DEH-3K, DEH-5K and DEH-10K run on 380–415 V. For sites without a three-phase supply, the DEH-2K runs on 220–230 V single-phase and delivers up to ~240 L/day with the same full feature set. How loud is a stationary industrial dehumidifier?
Modern industrial dehumidifiers produce noise from two sources: the compressor and the fan. Full Inverter compressors are quieter than their fixed-speed equivalents because they avoid start/stop transients.
