About the DEH-K Series
The DanVex DEH-K Series is a range of stationary industrial dehumidifiers for permanent installation in spaces where humidity control is part of the building or process specification: manufacturing facilities, large warehouses and logistics centres, food and pharmaceutical production, plant-growing facilities and infrastructure environments where humidity threatens equipment.
The four models cover capacities from 240 to 1 000 litres per day and share the full premium specification: a Full Inverter compressor with a Smart-Inverter EC fan and EEV valve, an E-Coating heat exchanger, 5-in-1 sensor, UV sterilisation lamp, anion generator, Wi-Fi + Modbus RTU RS-485 connectivity and Hot Gas Defrost. The DEH-2K runs on single-phase 220–230 V — for sites without a three-phase supply; the DEH-3K, DEH-5K and DEH-10K run on three-phase 380–415 V.
Every DEH-K unit is built around a vertical top-discharge airflow: air is drawn through the front filter panel and discharged upward through the top of the cabinet. This format eliminates short-circuiting of the unit recirculating its own dry air, distributes air into the upper volume of the room where moisture accumulates by convection, and connects directly to overhead ductwork without additional plenums. All models use R-32 refrigerant with IPX4 protection.
Models in the range

DEH-3K 300 L/day · 2800–3500 m³/h · 156 kg · Full Inverter · E-Coating
Indicative coverage: ~250–450 m²
Medium production facilities, food and pharmaceutical processing rooms, medium warehouses, plant growing, commercial spaces with stable RH requirements. Full Inverter + E-Coating + IPX4.
DEH-5K 500 L/day · 4800–5300 m³/h · 207 kg · Full Inverter · E-Coating
Indicative coverage: ~400–700 m²
Large production halls, food-processing facilities, large grow rooms, manufacturing areas with cyclic moisture loads. 250 Pa static pressure for ducted operation.
DEH-10K 1000 L/day · 9500–12 000 m³/h · 330 kg · 300 Pa · Full Inverter · E-Coating
Indicative coverage: ~700–1500 m² or integration with central HVAC
Very large industrial facilities, logistics warehouses, multi-zone production sites, integration with the building's central HVAC. 300 Pa pressure handles long duct runs.
Coverage figures are indicative for typical industrial conditions (moderate load, 4–6 m ceilings, ordinary air exchange). The actual choice depends on starting and target humidity, ceiling height, infiltration, process moisture sources and whether the unit runs standalone or ducted. For food production with active wet cycles, grow rooms with active transpiration and large open spaces — contact us for precise project selection: choosing the higher capacities benefits from a moisture-load calculation rather than a rule of thumb.

Where is the DEH-K Series used?
Stationary dehumidifiers are designed for permanent installation in spaces where humidity control is a continuous requirement — not a temporary fix:
Application guide
| Application | Why DEH-K is the right choice | Recommended model |
|---|---|---|
| Food production — cured meats, cheeses, confectionery, spices, fish drying | Meat-curing chambers, cheese-ripening rooms, confectionery production, spice processing and fish drying require RH held within tight ranges — humidity drift directly affects product quality, shelf life and weight-loss profile. Full Inverter regulation holds RH stable where fixed-speed equipment overshoots. E-Coating resists organic acids, salt solutions and chlorine-laden cleaning agents. UV sterilisation with the anion generator reduces microbial load between wash-down cycles. | Typically DEH-3K / DEH-5K · DEH-10K for large facilities |
| Pharmaceutical production and cleanroom support | Pharmaceutical processes are sensitive to humidity drift — tablet hardness, capsule integrity, the hygroscopic behaviour of powders and the stability of active ingredients depend on steady RH. Full Inverter holds the set-point without cyclic jumps. Modbus RTU RS-485 integrates with BMS and validated facility monitoring. UV + anions + the 5-in-1 sensor support strict hygiene protocols. Solvent-free electrochemical E-Coating is appropriate in environments with strict material-contact restrictions. | Typically DEH-3K / DEH-5K · DEH-10K at facility level |
| Manufacturing — furniture, paint shops, electronics, printing | Furniture and joinery (wood stability), paint shops (coating adhesion and curing), electronics assembly (moisture in boards and static humidity windows), printing (paper dimensional stability and ink behaviour) — all depend on controlled humidity. Top discharge distributes dry air to high ceilings; Full Inverter handles the cyclic loads of production schedules without short cycling. | DEH-3K / DEH-5K per zone · DEH-10K for the whole hall |
| Large warehouses and logistics centres | Seasonal humidity causes condensation on packaging, cardboard collapse, label damage and corrosion of metal goods (steel, machine parts, tools). Static pressure of 200–300 Pa across the range supports ducted distribution in multi-zone facilities, including Class A logistics centres. Permanent installation on Modbus RTU RS-485 integrates with site management systems. | DEH-2K / DEH-3K for moderate loads · DEH-5K / DEH-10K for large halls |
| Plant growing and licensed medical-cannabis facilities | Indoor cultivation of vegetables, herbs, ornamentals and licensed medical cannabis requires tight humidity control by vegetative, flowering and drying phase — targets change with the stage, and deviations produce grey mould, powdery mildew and crop loss. Active transpiration adds a substantial moisture load (often 1–2 litres per plant per day in flowering). Full Inverter regulates to the plant load curve; UV and anions reduce airborne pathogens; Modbus integrates with grow-management systems. Top discharge distributes dry air above the canopy without disturbing the plants. | DEH-3K per grow room · DEH-5K / DEH-10K for commercial facilities |
| Infrastructure — pumping stations, water utilities, server rooms, switchrooms | Pumping stations, water-treatment facilities, telecom shelters, server rooms and switchrooms suffer condensation on cold equipment surfaces — corrosion, insulation degradation, short-circuit risk. Permanent stationary dehumidification on Modbus RTU RS-485 integrates with site SCADA. The DEH-2K covers typical infrastructure rooms; the larger models — bigger equipment halls. | Typically DEH-2K / DEH-3K |
Why does top-discharge airflow matter?
Most condensation dehumidifiers on the industrial market discharge air horizontally — from the front or side — because it is the simplest layout. In a high-ceilinged industrial space this creates two problems.
First, dehumidified air discharged at floor level immediately sinks back toward the unit inlet (it is colder and denser than room air after passing the evaporator) — the unit recirculates its own dry air without affecting the room as a whole: short-circuiting. Capacity figures fall and humidity stays high. Second, water vapour is lighter than dry air; it rises and accumulates near the ceiling by natural convection — often showing as condensation on overhead pipes, structural steel and exposed beams. A horizontal dehumidifier never reaches that air mass.
The DEH-K Series uses vertical top discharge: dry air is driven upward through the top of the cabinet, mixes with the upper volume where moisture concentrates, and the resulting circulation carries air down through the front inlet at floor level. The unit dries the whole room volume, not just the air around it. Top discharge also connects directly to overhead ductwork without plenums — the practical reason it is the standard format for commercial and industrial installations.
How does DEH-K compare with the market?
The European market for high-capacity stationary dehumidifiers has three tiers: industrial equipment from the large specialist companies (full features, premium price), mid-range commercial-industrial units (selected features) and budget commercial units (basic features). The table positions the series against the typical specifications of the mid-range and budget tiers.
